Synergy between FLAGCHIP and DAEDALOS: Enabling Reliable Hybrid AC/DC Power Systems

FLAGCHIP and DAEDALOS join forces to address complementary challenges along the power electronics and power systems value chain, contributing to the reliability, stability, and efficiency of future hybrid AC/DC and HVDC grids.

DAEDALOS addresses the system-level challenges of operating complex power grids, with a strong focus on hybrid AC/DC systems and HVDC networks. DAEDALOS develops innovative tools that connect power system design, pre-operational planning, and real-time monitoring and control, ensuring grid stability and reliability under increasingly dynamic operating conditions. These solutions are validated in realistic demonstrator environments in Germany and Spain.

Together, FLAGCHIP and DAEDALOS create a strong cross-project synergy:

• FLAGCHIP delivers high-performance, reliable, and monitorable power electronic converters,

• while DAEDALOS ensures their secure and stable integration at system level within future hybrid AC/DC and HVDC grids.
