FLAGCHIP at ECCE 2025

We’re pleased to share that FLAGCHIP was recently represented at ECCE 2025 (IEEE Energy Conversion Congress & Exposition) in Birmingham, where cutting-edge research in power electronics took center stage.

Mark Sherriff from our partner institution, the University of Nottingham, presented a poster titled:
“Investigation of On-chip Temperature Measurement in Power Cycling Using Fibre Bragg Grating Sensors.”

The research explores innovative sensing techniques for real-time thermal monitoring using Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors. These findings are an important contribution to improving the reliability and efficiency of power electronic systems, a core focus of the FLAGCHIP project.

We’re proud to collaborate with forward-thinking partners like the University of Nottingham who are helping to shape the future of robust, high-performance power electronics in Europe and beyond.
